WVLR, virtual channel 48 and UHF digital channel 36 is a CTN owned-and-operated television station serving Knoxville, Tennessee; the United States licensed to Tazewell. The Christian Television Network owns the station. WVLRs studios are located on Kyker Ferry Road in Kodak, and its transmitter is located on Clinch Mountain near Powder Springs in unincorporated Grainger County.

CTN History

On October 24, 1979, Floridas first Christian television station signed on the air. Soon more stations were added, and thus was born the Christian Television Network. CTN provides unique, wholesome, award-winning programming for the entire family, reaching a potential audience of over 15 million viewers. Our Community Involvement  -  The Love Basket

Since its inception, one of the CTNs main goals has been to work with local churches to help needy families. The CTN Community Ministries Department, partnering with local churches, has provided food, clothing, shelter, and financial assistance to thousands of needy families in our community. In addition to helping to meet the physical and financial needs of families, the CTN Community Ministries Department also strives to meet families' spiritual needs by providing trained prayer partners who answer viewer calls for help and prayer 24 hours a day.
